It's great to have a website dedicated to important communications and everything you need to know about the ski school. It helps both instructors and clients navigate the ski school, both organizationally and in terms of reliability and professionalism.

The only downside, in my opinion, is the complex design of the menu interface, which isn't particularly intuitive, although this is a problem that resolves itself with consistent use of the website.

We had a wonderful experience with both our children (9 and 5); the school (and particularly Prem) is responsive, organised and flexible when required. We have found every teacher to be very kind and friendly which has made the whole difference!

Top! I've been using them for over two years, and the results are incredible. At 40, and afraid to let go of my board, it was a real challenge for me. But Nicola is the best! Technique, talent, and kindness: he helped me push my limits. If you want real results, trust him and Giorgio Rocca's school! And Veronica is second to none for all the office management: always available and smiling. I adore you!

Marco is the man! To say my friend and I had an extraordinary time would be an understatement! He is incredibly skilled and patient - and also kept me relaxed.

We had the best time today and want to come back to take lessons again. So happy with this experience, thanks to Marco! He came highly recommended and lived up to his reputation for being the best.

Commit to the Edge:
Eliminate the Wasted Lean

Unlike the classic style, skate skiing demands a complete, deliberate leap of faith from one moving ski onto the other. If you hang back between the two skis, your inside edge scrapes the snow, acting as a brake. We train you to commit your hips fully over the gliding platform, turning every lateral push into pure, explosive speed.

“True speed in skating relies on patience. The longer you can balance completely flat on a single ski before the next push-off, the more distance you cover.”

Skate Dynamics Progressions

  • V1 Gear Timing: Asymmetrical poling alignment for steep climbs
  • V2 Open Dance: Fluid, symmetrical poling on every single stride for fast flats
  • Ankle Flexion: Compressing the boot cuff forward to maintain control
  • Edge Release: Rolling off the flat base onto a clean inside edge drive
  • V2 Alternate: Passive gliding over high-speed downhills to save oxygen
  • Step Turning: Shuffling the skis aggressively to carry momentum through corners

Technical Skate Development

The No-Pole Glide

Strip away upper body compensation. We drill entirely on lower body weight shifts, teaching your core and hips how to catch the balance line before adding arm dynamics.

Climbing Transitions (V1)

Stop running up hills. Master the offset V1 timing, syncing your high pole plant with a dominant push foot to march up steep gradients smoothly without blowing out your heart rate.

High-Tempo Open V2

For wide, open spaces. Learn to plant both poles seamlessly on every left and right skate stride, creating a massive, fluid sprint rhythm tailored for long lake flats.

Anatomical Edge Corrections

Skate technique amplifies any underlying balance instabilities. Your coach monitors your alignment directly, spotting early knee collapse or a dropped hip in real time, and making targeted adjustments to your boot weighting so you drive power strictly in a straight, efficient line.

Engadin Lake Stretches & San Gian Loops

The wide-open, broad pathways stretching between Maloja, Sils, and Silvaplana offer the absolute best skate-skiing canvas in the Alps. We leverage these massive, flat expanses to build your high-tempo V2 habits, or head into the rolling, undulating forests around Celerina and San Gian to test your climbing gear changes.

One-on-One Technical
Skate Optimization

Group clinics cannot fix specific timing mistakes like a lingering pole plant or an premature edge kick. Private structure ensures your coach is focused entirely on your rhythm, adjusting your arm drive and hip drive frame by frame so you build clean muscle memory.

Our private skating sessions are ideal to:

  • Correct a heavy “middle-ground” stance by enforcing single-ski balance
  • Dial in precise V1 poling timing for efficient uphill climbs
  • Maximize horizontal velocity on flat lake trails using modern V2 patterns
  • Fine-tune your aerobic efficiency ahead of the Engadin Ski Marathon
  • Master fast, dynamic step-turns to hold maximum speed through curves

Command the Free Glide

When skate skiing is executed with precision, it feels like flying across the snow. Eliminating the friction of dragging edges and replacing it with a clean, unyielding weight transfer completely shifts your endurance potential. Let us optimize your technical mechanics on the world-class skating loops of St. Moritz.
