The only downside, in my opinion, is the complex design of the menu interface, which isn't particularly intuitive, although this is a problem that resolves itself with consistent use of the website.
We had the best time today and want to come back to take lessons again. So happy with this experience, thanks to Marco! He came highly recommended and lived up to his reputation for being the best.

How kids learn best
- Short games → focused drill → quick reward → playful free-ski to lock in the new skill.
- Frequent breaks and warmup routines keep energy high and nerves low.
- Instructors use simple cues (hands, animals, colors) to make technique memorable.

- Snowgarden (first steps): balance, slide, stop, smile.

- Full day (8:30–16:00): technique a.m., adventure p.m., supervised lunch.

YOUR SKI LESSONS FOR CONFIDENCE ON THE PISTE
St. Moritz is built for smooth, confidence-building learning. You’ll find lessons for every level and age, from first-timers to advanced skiers and riders chasing off-piste. In practice, most schools structure their offer around four pillars:
- Beginners start on gentle terrain with clear, step-by-step instruction. The aim is comfort: standing, sliding, controlling speed, then linking first turns, without feeling rushed.
- Intermediates work on consistent parallel turns, edging, and early-edge engagement for carving. Expect focused drills on body position and rhythm, then mileage on forgiving red runs to cement confidence.
- Advanced skiers & snowboarders book tailored coaching from steeps and variable snow to freeride/off-piste with certified guides. If you want variety or a push out of your comfort zone, this track keeps things safe and structured.
- Children’s programs usually begin from about age 3 and are playful, bilingual and safety-first. Think snow gardens, games, and small wins that stack quickly.
- From my own days on these pistes, the tone is professional and calm. Small group sizes really do accelerate learning; you’re not waiting in a long snake of people for feedback. And when I booked a private, the instructor met us right at the base lift logistics that remove stress so you can focus on your feet. The cherry on top: St. Moritz’s famously well-groomed runs. On quiet mornings they feel like velvet, which makes those first parallel turns feel safe, not scary.
Who this suits: families who value structure, adults who want premium instruction in English (or German/Italian/French), and motivated intermediates who want to unlock carving and control on steeper terrain.

What St. Moritz Ski Schools Offer
St Moritz Ski School for your ski and snowboard lessons with a simple goal: fast, safe progress for every level in a premium, stress-free setting. From first slides to off-piste coaching, our instructors match terrain to your goals, keep groups intentionally small. In private lessons your instructor sometimes meets you at the base lift so the day flows from the first minute.
St. Moritz’s famously immaculate grooming and calm morning pistes make technique click sooner; it’s why so many learners move from snowplough to confident parallel within just a few sessions. Multilingual coaches (English/German/Italian/French), smooth logistics, and a clear plan each day mean you spend more time actually skiing, less time figuring things out.

FAQs
How early should I book for Christmas week?
As early as possible aim for 4–8 weeks out for morning slots, kids’ programs, and English-speaking instructors.
Where do kids meet for lessons?
Often at Corviglia or Corvatsch base areas in clearly marked kids’ zones. Exact points vary by school; your confirmation email will specify.
Can private lessons start at my hotel?
Often, yes. Our instructors will meet at your hotel or the most convenient base lift when possible.
What progress is realistic in three lessons?
For true beginners: controlled parallel on easy blues, sometimes early confidence on mellow reds. For intermediates: cleaner edge use, better rhythm, and first real carves on suitable snow.
Do you offer certified off-piste guiding?
Yes, book advanced coaching with a certified guide, and expect a safety briefing plus appropriate equipment.
Are lessons available in English?
Absolutely, English is widely spoken (alongside German, Italian, and French).
